Draw deadline is March 15th

Montana Trophy Whitetail Bowhunting is something near and deer to this outfitters heart. He himself is an avid bowhunter and saw the tremendous potential in the beautiful Shields River Valley country below the Crazy Mountains. So in 2006 he started outfitting for Whitetail in this incredible area. He and his guides are ALL AVID BOWHUNTERS who have many years of experience bowhunting mature Whitetails and guiding client’s to their own P&Y class bucks. That’s exactly what we look for in partnering with an operation for our own clients and we once again struck gold here. Bowhunting trophy Whitetails is a way of life for these guys and it comes through in their track record for the clients who come out there each and every year.

Montana river bottom Deer hunting is some of the finest you will find anywhere in the country at providing you with an excellent opportunity at taking a Pope and Young class trophy Whitetail Deer. These river bottom Whitetail Deer hunts are hard to put into words as they are simply very, very exciting. Bow hunting for these bucks is truly an experience every bow hunter should try at least once in their lives. We know that if you do then it’s likely you will be hooked for years to come. What makes this hunt so unique is that they hunt a larger quantity of whitetails in the 120" - 150" range concentrated in a much smaller area with a chance at something in the 160"+ range which is an excellent trophy Whitetail Deer with a bow. And they are usually concentrated into the river bottoms that are perfect for bow hunting. If you love Whitetail bowhunting, this is a very exciting hunt.

Most all of the Whitetail hunting is done from tree stands, primarily ladder stands but also some lock-on’s and ground blind’s can come into play depending on the area. These stands are placed where the activity is highest with Whitetails going to and from their security cover in the river bottom, then to the crops and fields to feed in the late afternoon and evening. Most shots will be 20 - 40 yards. The hunt takes place on over 20,000 private, exclusive and managed acres for QUALITY BUCKS with about 10,000 acres being BOWHUNTING ONLY. These ranches have an excellent Whitetail Deer population with a buck-to-doe ratio that is very healthy, mature bucks being the rule, not the exception. Very limited pressure ensures a quality hunting experience in which BOWHUNTERS SHOULD EXPECT TOO SEE BETWEEN 50 - 100 BUCKS during their weeks hunt. By limiting this hunting pressure, they are able to increase the age structure of bucks in the 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 year age class. All this adds up to a heck of a week out in the woods with bow in hand.

Their success ratio with bowhunters averages approximately 65% with close to 100% shot opportunity on P&Y class bucks most years. That is far above the norm on wild, free range, fair chase Whitetails I can assure you. This is a testament to the incredible area combined with intense management to achieve these kind of results. There is a 115" minimum here as proper buck management is vital to the success of their management goals and a clients personal goal of tagging a trophy. Tags need to be drawn, that being said the drawing odds are near 100% most years with the draw deadline being March 15th.

Great lodging accommodations and awesome meals will await you as you come into camp after a long day in the field. You will have all the amenities of home. Hunters get picked up at the Bozeman airport once you arrive and at the conclusion of your week will be shuttled back to. Just be ready to hunt and enjoy your week out west.

With the many miles of river bottom providing excellent cover, along with the abundance of agriculture and quality food sources you can anticipate most every sit to bring you encounters with Deer. This outfitter and his team are committed to the best management practices and trophy potential. All of these things combined make this hunt a no-brainer if you are looking for an ACTION PACKED TROPHY WHITETAIL DEER BOWHUNT. Lastly just so you know this hunt can be combined with Elk which they also have a fantastic track record on. So it’s possible for you to hunt for a P&Y trophy of BOTH SPECIES!

We hope you will contact us regarding this incredible opportunity out in beautiful south west Montana where the Whitetails roam free and are waiting to challenge your bowhunting skills. You will see bucks on this hunt…YOU just need to make it count when the shot finally comes your way. Space is limited so book early to ensure you get your spot.
