Montana trophy archery Antelope hunts with our outfitter in the South Eastern part of the state are an absolute blast. Our outfitter and his staff our bowhunters themselves and have been successfully guiding bowhunting clients on speed goats for many years. They go the extra effort to give their clients the best possible chance to take a quality shot at a mature buck in bow range. Many of the blinds are elevated so that you can get just enough height on a shooter lope at the waters edge.

Trophy quality on these ranches is VERY GOOD with shot opportunities being 100% most every year. You can expect bucks in the 14” - 16” range with potential to encounter something bigger and the opportunity to turn an arrow loose on a TRUE P&Y CLASS TROPHY BEING VERY HIGH. There is a very healthy population of Antelope in this area so numbers are very high and you can expect see 30 - 75 goats most days. In fact I encourage our clients to hold out for a good buck and don’t shoot the first decent buck you see. Let the smaller bucks walk and you will most likely encounter a really good one. All hunting takes place on private manged land that our outfitter has exclusive access to. There is also a tremendous amount of ground totaling well over 100,000 acres of South East Montana bowhunting heaven. So with a ton of managed private land in game rich country with excellent trophy potential on a hunt that is run by bowhunters you can see why this is such a popular option for TROPHY ANTELOPE.

These Antelope bowhunts take place on the open plains and prairies of southeastern Montana. Antelope prefer the open country because the open plains are where they can best use their incredible eyesight to their advantage. Finding an antelope is the easy part, getting in range is the challenge. Depending on the timing of your hunt, you might hit the Antelope rut and even get the chance to decoy one of these awesome bucks in as they come charging across the prairie to run of the intruder who they think is attempting to steal their harem.

Montana Archery Antelope licenses are easily obtained with a near 100% success in the draw. So getting the tag even though it must be drawn is basically almost guaranteed. The Montana draw deadline for Antelope is June 1st of each year. Hunts can be combined with either Whitetail or Mule Deer to really make things exciting as you will see Deer and Antelope in the same areas. This part of Montana has some pretty impressive Whitetail and Mulies as well. As we are always looking for unique opportunities for our clients in trophy producing areas there is something else we need to mention. This outfitter is right on the Montana and Wyoming line so this gives our clients the chance to not hunt for one but two trophy Pronghorn in the same hunt as you can get a tag for both states relatively easily. We have actually had clients do this and each has been successful. Please keep in mind the draw deadlines for each state. Montana Draw Deadline April 1st / Wyoming Draw Deadline June 1st.

All transportation, meals, lodging and professional guiding is provided including airport pickup and return to Gillette Wyoming.
