Alaska Trophy Moose Guided Bowhunts with our friend and outfitter are precisely what the doctor ordered for the adventuresome archer looking to take on the wilds of Alaska. Being a life long bowhunter who is passionate about his outfitting business gives this operation a leg up on most other operations in Alaska when guiding an archery Moose client. Having taken several Alaska trophy Moose himself with archery tackle you can glean pretty quickly that he and his staff are qualified to guide Moose hunters with stick and string in tow. Getting into bow range on a BIG OLD BULL MOOSE isn’t necessarily the hard part. The hardest part in our professional opinion is the timing of the rut. The Moose rut can be fickle at best, on for a day or two and then off go the lights. If you think timing the Whitetail or Elk rut is difficult, you haven’t seen anything until you hunt Moose as they can be very inconsistent. So having an outfitter who knows how to hunt these critters whether they are incredibly vocal or if mother nature has thrown a wrench in the works is really important for a chance at success. No worries…we have you covered!

September is Moose season in Alaska’s Brooks Range and peak rut will typically take place somewhere in the second and third week. That being said the opportunity to glass up a good Bull and work him always has potential. Also if the Bull is in a stalk-able position then it’s time to get the wind right and go at him. Regardless of what the rutting activity is like you and your guide will be hunting the correct areas with good Bulls in them, just keep after it! This part of Alaska has great genetics providing wide palms and huge fronts on mature Bull Moose, they also stand about 7 feet at the shoulder and are an impressive sight to see. So grab your bow and get ready for adventure with us.

These Moose hunts take place on the Southern Slopes of the Central Brooks Range. Having a variety of different camps mostly located on small streams, rivers, and lakes. Travel to the hunt area is by bush plane. ONCE YOU ARRIVE AT THE PRE-SCOUTED CAMP LOCATION the primary hunt tactics involve many hours of calling and glassing. These guys primarily hunt off foot but utilize rafts, boats, and ATV’s as well, depending on the given location. Past hunters have enjoyed high success on bulls in the 57-66” Range. The hunts are 10 days in duration and 8 actual days of hunting. Grizzly Bear can be harvested on a trophy fee of $5000 if you purchase a tag prior to your hunt. Wolf may be harvested for free and no tag is currently required for these units. Longer multi species combination hunts are available. Check out our current price list and call for availability.

Choosing an outfitter who has a lengthy background with guiding bowhunters anywhere is important. We feel it’s even more important in Alaska as the hunting is remote and the land is vast indeed. It’s called the last frontier for a reason right. There are A LOT of outfits that will offer archery Moose hunts but there are very few that excel at them. This outfit does and we are fully confident that you will not find a better outfitter to provide such an adventure. These hunts are not cheap and require much preparation and hard work on your part. Add in the large financial investment and you can easily see why it’s so important to choose the right operation with a proven track record. We have already done this much needed research for you and have the bowhunt you have been looking for.
