Western Colorado Trophy Archery Elk Hunts with our outfitter are conducted in this game rich region of the state. They operate on some of the most GAME RICH PRIVATE PROPERTY Western Colorado has to offer. All ranches are not created equally and these guys have some of the very best ground locked up with the exclusive hunting rights for our clients. These folks try harder to ensure that you have a quality hunt with great memories to last a lifetime. This operation has just the right mixture of experienced bowhunting guides, hearty home-cooked meals and comfortable accommodations to make your hunting trip worth every dollar. It's their goal to provide each hunter that books a hunt, a quality experience.

As with all of our operations we work with, these folks are intimately familiar with guiding bowhunters and have been doing it successfully for nearly 20 years now. This knowledge and understanding of what it takes to be successful with stick and string has consistently led to a much higher than average shot opportunity of 50% each year with some years being closer to 70%. They strictly limit the amount of hunters that they take so the ground this operation hunts isn’t blown out a week or two into the season. Also they have plenty of ground as they hunt a mix of about 40,000 ACRES OF EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE LAND as well as national forest and BLM. They will hunt wherever the Elk are the given week you are in camp. Having this flexibility has proven very successful for their clients year after year…QUALITY NOT QUANTITY!

This part of Colorado has excellent big game populations. The challenge with Colorado is always finding an outfitter that DOES IT RIGHT! Luckily we have that covered for you. This area of Colorado does produce some big mature Bull’s from time to time but you can expect to be hunting Bull’s in the rag-horn to 300”+ with top end being 310” - 320” for a really big herd bull here. Keep in mind that the P&Y minimum is 260” so the odds of encountering a P&Y CLASS BULL is actually pretty good on this hunt. You can harvest a Black Bear during your Elk hunt for a $500 trophy fee. Color phase Bears are very common.

All of these hunts are 100% Fair Chase on prime private ranch property, national forest and BLM Lands. All hunts are on a limited basis to properly manage the quality of the big game herds on the lands they lease. Elk hunts are mostly spot and stalk with some tree stand and ground blind setups as well as calling during the rut. You and your guide will use 4x4 vehicles and ATV's to access different places on the ranches and then hike on foot from there. You will stay in one of their comfortable cabins at 9,000 ft. or the guest house at 5,500 ft. depending on the area being hunted. The full service cook will prepare three meals each day along with many snack foods and drinks. They provide clean and comfortable lodging and a hot shower at both facilities. We can accommodate most individuals with different physical capabilities. Hunters fly into Montrose, Colorado where you will be picked up and returned by the outfitter. You will need to fly into Montrose the day before your hunt begins and fly out the day after.
