Saskatchewan Trophy Black Bear Bowhunts

Spring Black Bear Bowhunting in Saskatchewan can be nothing short of incredible. With a very large and healthy Black Bear population throughout the Province there are many fine Bears to be pursued via stick and string. Our outfitter in Saskatchewan is unique in the fact that he and his staff have chosen to run their operation 100% BOW ONLY. To our knowledge there is not another outfitter in Saskatchewan who has made this level of commitment to the traveling bowhunter. This outfitters exclusive guiding area encompasses approximately 140 square miles of some of the very best Black Bear habitat in Northern Saskatchewan. If that wasn’t enough to grab your attention then perhaps the fact that this outfitters area borders  a large game preserve will get you excited. This game preserve is a NO HUNTING ALLOWED PARK. This added benefit allows these bears to grow to maturity in an unhunted environment within the preserve. They have about 20% color phase Bears on average and a very high success rate. This operation encourages it’s bowhunters to harvest older mature boars to assist in keeping the trophy quality high. They start baiting well before the first weeks clients arrive in camp and document their baits with the use of trail cameras as a consistent management tool.

Baiting begins as early in the Spring as the law and weather allow. Our outfitter utilizes quality ladder stands and also custom made ground blinds from expanded metal that is affectionately referred to as ” the cage “. Hunts traditionally start around 2pm and run until the end of legal shooting time. All hunters will be supplied with a two way radio so they can be in contact with their guides. You can relax back at the lodge in the morning or boat rentals and guided fishing trips for Northern Pike and Walleye can be arranged on a pay per day basis.

The land alone will give the discriminating bowhunter all the confidence that you are in remote country in which BIG blackies inhabit. Bowhunters make up 100% of this outfitters clientele for Spring Bear. Their track record speaks for itself. With many satisfied clients over the time they have owned this camp, you too can add your name to the list of successful Bear hunters that left camp with exciting memories of their bowhunt and a taxidermy bill. Whether a novice or a bowhunter who has hunted the world over you will be in good hands with this dedicated outfitter. Their passion for bowhunting Black Bears is extended to all those wanting an experience of a lifetime. They offer not only knowledge and a great bowhunt but personal attention to your specific needs. This attention to detail is one of the many reasons that this is a top choice for a trophy Black Bear bowhunt in Canada.

Saskatchewan is a one Bear Province and our outfitter will only take a max of 24 bear hunters per year. They allow a max of 6 hunters per week from about mid May – June. They run approximately 20+ different bait sites currently that are strategically located rather then randomly placed for ease of access. This allows every bowhunter the flexibility to move when needed and not be stuck in the same stand that was bowhunted the week before.

Black Bear are more popular then ever before and we are fully confident that if you book with us you will get a chance to enjoy one of the very best baited Black Bear bowhunts available in Saskatchewan today. Please take a moment to look over the pictures above and feel free to call us with any questions that you have. We look forward to getting you out bowhunting for these legendary Black Bears of Saskatchewan.

Best regards, Scott Alberda
