British Columbia Trophy Black Bear Bowhunts

Bowhunting trophy Black Bears in British Columbia is something every traveling bowhunter should experience. This hunt is custom made for the spot and stalk hunter that is excited about the opportunity to match wits with the many old mature Black Bears that reside in our outfitters huge 5,000 square mile area. We recently had our friend Curt Wells of Bowhunter Magazine travel up to this outfitter to pursue these BIG bruins of the North West and was amazed by the experience he was rewarded with. He saw well over 30 Black Bears over the course of his 6 day bowhunt with our outfitter, including several mature bruins like the one he harvested. The episode aired on The Sportsman’s Channel this past Spring. Due to the many salmon streams and lakes, as well as numerous mountain ranges, our outfitter has an abundance of Black Bear in their vast territory. These bears are hunted either in Spring or Fall because of the diversity of terrain in this territory.

Their Spring Bear hunting season runs from mid April through to mid June. The Spring Grizzly season parallels the Black Bear season, which provides excellent opportunity for a guided combination Grizzly/Black Bear hunt. Our outfitters Black Bear hunting areas contain many miles of logging roads and clear cuts. Our hunters have an excellent chance of success and are likely to see many black bears during the course of their guided hunt. Many a trophy Black Bear have been taken from this area.

Another great perk to bowhunting trophy Black Bear in BC is that you are allowed to take 2 bears per year. Multiple opportunities are likely so the chance of leaving with 2 trophies is a very real possibility in BC with us. Baiting is illegal in British Columbia so all hunts will be spot and stalk which will only add to the excitement as you slip into a clear cut or move into position along a river bank, lake or logging road. Trophy quality is very good in this area and we believe that when you shop around for a BC Black Bear hunt you will be very impressed by the price for this exciting adventure. In short you aren’t likely to find a better price for a Black Bear hunt of this quality in BC.

After a long day in the field pursuing these great Bears you will come back to a comfortable lodge and a great meal. Only to rest up and hit the trail early in the morning as you work towards your next encounter and stalk. We realize that there are many outfitters to choose from in BC. With so many options it can be overwhelming to discern which outfitter will best fit your needs. We have done the home work for you and are fully confident in our BC outfitter and the amazing experience that awaits you in North West BC. Bowhunting is what we do that is why we have chosen to hunt with this outfitter in his unique area. It lends itself perfectly to bowhunting these illusive trophies and being able to get in close for the shot.

We hope you will contact us to discuss this exciting opportunity to pursue TROPHY Black Bears in beautiful BC with stick and string. You will be glad you did!!

Best regards, Scott Alberda & R.L. Foster
